More than just a tennis tournament
The West Highland Tennis Championships is as much about off-the-court
entertainment as it is on-court action. There are events organised for every
evening of the tournament for competitors to have some fun and relax.
All competitors are provided with use of Atlantis Leisure Sports Centre at
complimentary rates and Glencruitten golf course at reduced green fees. Atlantis
Leisure boasts a swimming pool with water flume, fitness & health suites,
squash courts and sports hall offering all-weather sports from archery to table
tennis. Glencruitten golf course is a spectacular par-63 course which will prove
challenging for golfers of all standards.
The social programme is as
follows:
Monday - Welcome
Reception
Provides an opportunity for competitors to meet up
over a few drinks, to catch up with old friends and discuss the week
ahead.
Friday -
Quiz Night
Teams battle it out for the honour of West
Highland Week's smartest.
Saturday - District Council Reception and Ceilidh
Let
Argyll & Bute Council buy you a drink or two for all that hard work you've
been putting in on the courts.
Sunday - Champagne &
Strawberries, Finals & Prizegiving
Championship finals
day provides tension and an excellent display of high-quality tennis. And
excellent champagne and Strawberries.

Tournament Dinner
Delicious three-course
feast.
